Harpsichord ('false inner-outer') modelled on Aelpidio Gregori, c. 1700

Aelpidio Gregori worked in central Italy on the Adriatic coast, in Sant'Elpidio. Of the three surviving instruments by him, all of the 'false inner-outer' type, I had one in my workshop to restore, which became the basis for my interpretation of this valuable tool for shaping sound. Brass strung throughout, two eight-foots, no frippery: splendid both in ensemble and for solo use.
